Meghan Markle wrote a letter to Queen Elizabeth II

The Duchess of Sussex and wife of British Prince Harry Meghan Markle wrote a letter of apology to Queen Elizabeth II after a scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey.

This was exclusively reported to Apostrophe by a British journalist and writer Chris Hutchins, author of the books Harry: The People's Prince, Diana's Nightmare: The Family and Abramovich: The Billionaire from Nowhere.

Meghan Markle wrote an apology for the caused trouble, admitting that that Harry and her couldn't think about the scale of the problems their interview would cause.

A source close to Meghan tells me that she has written a letter to the Queen apologising for all the trouble the interview has caused her and saying she and Harry never intended it," Hutchins told Apostrophe.

However, he refused to disclose his informant. The writer also shared his thoughts on the scandal.

"The spouses sat down for the interview having two main tasks - to get public attention and bring fame to Meghan, an actress, which has cost them dearly," Hutchins said.

As for Queen Elizabeth II, she had no prejudice or negative attitude toward Meghan, the writer shared. However, Hutchins noted that Meghan and Harry have chased fame and wealth.

Reminding, that Queen Elizabeth II broke the silence on the accusations made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. An official statement of the Buckingham Palace says that the couple's claims were taken very seriously.
