On Tuesday morning, February 20, Polish protesters once again scattered Ukrainian grain on the tracks, and in the afternoon of that day completely blocked three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that Poles do not allow passenger cars or passenger buses to cross the border.
As part of the protest, the strikers completely stopped truck traffic in both directions at "Medyka-Shehyni" checkpoint. The end date of the blockade is unknown.
At "Dolhobychuv-Uhryniv" checkpoint, the protesters expressed their intention to stop all traffic until 5pm on February 20.
At "Zosin-Ustyluh" checkpoint, the protesters plan to restrict the movement of buses, trucks and cars in both directions from 1pm to 4pm Kyiv time. They promise to let only trucks with humanitarian aid through.
At "Hrebenne - Rava-Ruska" checkpoint from 1pm (Kyiv time) on February 20, the protesters completely blocked the traffic in both directions of all types of vehicles, except for those carrying critical cargo and humanitarian aid.
At "Korczowa-Krakovets" checkpoint, the protesters plan to block the movement of all trucks leaving Poland until 9pm (Kyiv time) on February 20, except for those carrying critical cargo. Meanwhile, buses, minibuses and cars will be able to move freely in both directions.
At "Dorohusk-Yagodyn" checkpoint, the protest organizers plan to completely stop the movement of freight transport in both directions by 7pm Kyiv time.
According to the information voiced by the leader of the "Deceived Village" Roman Kondrov on RMF24 radio, Polish protesters intend to block the border with Ukraine until April.
"We are intensifying the protest. Today I will submit [an application] for the next month to extend [the protest], it will last until April. We will do it one by one. Farmers will partly work in the field, partly stand on the border," he said.
Earlier, we wrote that Ukrainian carriers started a "mirror" blockade of Polish trucks.
