Despite the Polish Minister's apology for the first time Ukrainian grain was scattered by Polish strikers, it happened again. This time, the protesters blocked the railroad near the "Medyka-Szehyni" checkpoint and scattered Ukrainian grain from a freight car onto the railroad tracks.
This was reported from the scene by the correspondent of "Suspilne".
The incident occured on Tuesday morning, February 20, when Polish farmers intensified their protests near the "Medyka-Sheghyni" checkpoint. The day before, they said they intended to block all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine that day, as well as communication hubs and entrances to transshipment railroad stations and seaports, which they eventually did.
"This is a reaction to the influx of grain from Ukraine. It's very bad. People are desperate and can't keep up. Nobody controls this: neither the Polish authorities nor the Ukrainian authorities," said Roman Kondruw, co-organizer of the Polish farmers' protest.
He emphasized that Polish protesters are pouring out Ukrainian grain "because of emotions".
"Have no influence on people, they can not stand it and pour out. We are bankrupt because everything is brought from Ukraine uncontrollably," he added.
According to the correspondent, police arrived on the scene and in half an hour the farmers unblocked the railroad and returned to the highway, where they blocked the movement of trucks.
The published video shows grain spilling out of the wagon onto the tracks, while Polish protesters scatter it with their hands while singing national songs.
