The US Senate won't vote on a package to provide additional aid to Ukraine and strengthen US border security until early next year.
Representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties continue to work on the package, said the leaders of the House, writes Reuters.

"Our negotiators are going to be working very, very diligently over the December and January break period, and our goal is to get something done as soon as we get back," Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters.
The publication notes that the White House has warned that military aid to Ukraine will run out before the end of the year. The request of the Joe Biden Administration to provide another 61 billion dollars of support is stuck in Congress, where Republicans insist that aid to Ukraine has been linked to strengthening the Mexican-American border.
