Since the beginning of this year, Iran has already sent several shipments of short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to Russia, and Tehran promises that there will be even more supplies.
This is reported by Reuters, citing several sources.
According to Iranian sources, Iran has provided Russia with about 400 missiles, most of which belong to the Fateh-110 missile family with a range of 300 to 700 kilometers.
Iran started sending missiles to Moscow in early January as part of the agreements concluded at the end of 2023. Some of the shipments were made by planes, and another part by ships via the Caspian Sea.
"There will be more shipments. There is no reason to hide it. We are allowed to export weapons to any country that we wish to," the media agency quoted an unnamed Iranian official.
However, an Iranian source assures that Tehran's military partnership with Moscow, although demonstrating the country's global defense capabilities, does not mean that it has taken Russia's side.
At the same time, American and Ukrainian Reuters sources noted that the use of Iranian missiles by the Russian military has not been recorded so far.
