Germany plans to transfer the Patriot air defense system, another IRIS-T, Gepard systems, missiles and ammunition to Ukraine in the coming months.
This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during the opening ceremony of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin.
According to Scholz, deliveries will start in the coming weeks and months.
The German Chancellor also called on the conference participants to support the German initiative to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense system.
"The best kind of reconstruction is the one that doesn't have to happen at all," Scholz said.
According to him, the restoration and reconstruction of the country will require at least $500 billion.
Scholz also said that he will raise the issue of a long-term plan for the recovery of Ukraine, which was heavily damaged during the war, at this week's G7 Summit.
The Ukraine Recovery Conference is taking place in Berlin on June 11-12. It is attended by about 2000 participants from over 60 countries. The main goal of the event is to launch initiatives to promote business or train skilled workers.
