The pace of Russian offensive operations in the north of Kharkiv Region has slowed down. The enemy is advancing in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kherson regions.
This is stated in an analytical report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Kharkiv Region
Russian troops continued to make minor tactical advances towards Lyptsi.
The enemy also continues a tactical offensive in and around Vovchansk. Geolocation footage published on May 14 shows that Russian troops have advanced along Slobozhanska Street in the northwest of Vovchansk.
However, the Institute notes that the pace of Russian offensive operations in the north of Kharkiv Region seems to have slowed down over the past 24 hours. The experts also confirm their previous assessment that Russian forces prefer the creation of a ‘buffer zone’ to deeper penetration of Kharkiv Region.
Luhansk Region
Geo-location footage released on May 14 shows that Russian troops recently marginally advanced southeast of Stelmakhivka (northwest of Svatove).
Donetsk Region
On May 14, Russian troops continued ground attacks east of Siversk (northeast of Bakhmut) near Verkhnekamianske; southeast of Siversk near Ivan-Darivka and Spirne; and south of Siversk near Rozdolivka and Vyimka.
The occupiers made minor advances northeast and east of Chasiv Yar.
Russian troops recently marginally advanced west of Avdiivka and continued ground attacks in the area.
On May 14, Russian troops reportedly marginally advanced west of Donetsk city. Russian milbloggers claimed that Russian forces continued to marginally advance in Krasnohorivka (west of Donetsk city). The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian forces had achieved an unspecified marginal success in the Kurakhove direction (west of Donetsk city).
‘Southern Axis’
On May 14, Russian troops reportedly continued their offensive in the west of Zaporizhzhia Region, but there were no confirmed changes to the front line. The occupiers continued their assault near Robotyne from the direction of Novoprokopivka (south of Robotyne).
Russian troops recently marginally advanced in Krynky amid ongoing positional fighting on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson Region.
Earlier, ISW named the real goal of the Russian offensive in Kharkiv Region.
