Who is Yuriy Yula and did he really die during the Russian strike on Sumy?

On April 13, Russia launched a missile strike on the city of Sumy . Among the dead may have been the commander of the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade named after Kosh Ataman P. Kalnyshevsky, Colonel Yuriy Yula.

Yuriy Yula was born in 1982, originally from the village of Volevachi, Chernihiv region. At the age of 14, the boy entered a military lyceum in Chernihiv with enhanced physical training.

In 2005, he graduated from Sumy State University of Missile Forces, joining the 26th Artillery Brigade. During his service, he rose from platoon commander to chief of staff.

In particular, from 2014, he led a division of the 43rd separate artillery brigade for several years. Then he returned to the 26th brigade, becoming deputy commander.

In 2023, he was appointed commander of the 27th P. Kalnyshevsky Rocket Artillery Brigade.

Yuriy Yula has awards in the form of the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, II and III degrees "for courage, professionalism and loyalty to the oath."

After the Russian attack on Sumy on April 13, the Berdychiv City Council reported the death of Ukrainian military colonel Yuriy Yula.

The Berdychiv District Military Administration also publicly informed that Yula received injuries incompatible with life on April 13. They expressed their condolences to the family, relatives of the deceased, and fellow soldiers.

The published reports about Yula's death were later deleted. It was not specified what exactly caused these actions.

As "Apostrophe" wrote, People's Deputy Maryana Bezugla appealed to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the Russian shelling in Sumy.

After which, Kremlin propagandist Margarita Symonyan thanked MP Bezuglia for the information about Ukrainian servicemen .
