Explosives, howitzers, and more: factories in Poland are rapidly increasing weapons production

The war in Ukraine and the growing demand for specialized goods have forced defense and arms manufacturing companies in Poland to increase their capacity.

This was reported by the Rzeczpospolita newspaper.

Thus, journalists said that the company "Nitro-Chem" increased the production of TNT to the maximum level, because the demand for explosives in the country and possibly in foreign markets has increased dramatically. According to the head of the enterprise, TNT is now being produced here "in three shifts per day".

The "Lucznik" plant in Radom also announced plans to produce 100,000 rifles a year, which is not a typical volume of production for the company. At the same time, the increase in capacity was supported by notable investments, which were directed, among other things, to the construction of new workshops.

A howitzer and APC factory from Poland called "Huta Stalowa Wola", which produces, among others, Krab self-propelled howitzers and Rak automatic mortars, has been tasked to double its deliveries over the next two years.

Meanwhile, "Remontowa Shipbuilding" and PGZ shipyards laid the groundwork for the construction of three new-generation frigates of the Miecznik series, which will cost Poland's budget PLN 15 billion.

Journalists noted that it was decided to abandon the approach of the previous Polish government regarding the defense sector, when most of the military equipment was purchased abroad.

Earlier, "Apostrophe" reported that Germany had started preparations for a military conflict with Russia.
