Despite the fact that China does not supply weapons to Russia, it provides critical support that allows the Kremlin to continue the Russian-Ukrainian war.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to him, the United States and Western countries are concerned about China's support for Russia's defense industry, in particular, the fact that Beijing helps Moscow produce weapons.
"For example, 70% of machine tools imported by Russia come from China. 90% of microelectronics comes from China, and this allows Russia to maintain its military-industrial base, to maintain the military machine to continue the war. So this has to stop," Blinken emphasized.
He noted that this was the reason for the introduction of new sanctions against the terrorist country.
The US diplomat also added that the United States and Western countries are working to seize Russian assets in Europe and provide Ukraine with an additional $50 billion in aid. In particular, a few days ago, the allies held a very productive Ukraine Recovery Conference, where they discussed other types of support for Ukraine, including assistance in the energy sector.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un met in Pyongyang.
