In Crimea, a strategic reservoir has dried up: the annexed peninsula is remaining without the water

Due to the weather conditions, Crimean biggest water basins are disappearing. Now, the Ayan Reservoir, a strategically important reservoir has dried up, as was reported by the Crimean blogger RoksolanaToday&CrimeaUA on her official Twitter page.

The strategic reservoir has been always providing Simferopol with water. Now there is only cracked earth and small puddles instead of a huge water basin. The blogger also noted that the Crimean bridge, which was built by the Russian Federation to access the occupied peninsula is the cause of the drying up.

I can’t even imagine what we should survive before Crimean peninsula will return to Ukraine,” the blogger tweeted and added the photos of ecological catastrophe in the Ayan Reservoir.

According to ‘Apostrophe’, the ecological situation in Crimea is alarming. For example, In Yalta, occupants introduced the scheduled water supply due to the dangerous water shortages in the peninsula.
