AFU continue to hold a bridgehead in Kherson Region. Russians unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions near Krynky.
This is stated in the analytical report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Analysts cite Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets, who said that units of Russian 337th VDV Regiment (104th VDV Division), elements of the 144th Motorized Rifle Brigade (40th Army Corps, 18th CAA, SMD), and elements of the 17th Tank Regiment (70th Motorized Rifle Division, 18th CAA, SMD) are fighting against the AFU in Krynky area. They have unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions in recent days.
ISW analysts write that Krynky is an inconvenient location for Russians because the settlement is stretched out to such an extent that it is difficult to counter each area in a timely manner, especially with limited logistics. This leads to the fact that progressively the occupants are unable to counter the expansion of the bridgehead and begin to lose new areas. In turn, the dispersal of attention to new areas reduces the effectiveness of tactical groups of Russians operating near Krynky.
Head of "Defense Express" Serhiy Zgurets explained the advantage by which the AFU holds Krynky: the occupants are trying to force Ukrainian marines out of there by all means and are constantly pulling their equipment to the village. However, Ukrainian army destroy them with artillery and drones.
Earlier "Apostrophe" wrote that the Armed Forces are preparing for new strategic offensive formats by depleting the enemy.
