Humanitarian catastrophe in the South: the occupiers left Ukrainians without water

The situation in Zaporizhzhia Region remains difficult: the city is regularly shelled, and some districts are facing problems with access to drinking water.

Askad Ashurbekov, a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, told Apostrophe TV about this.

According to him, the night of April 10 was relatively calm, as all activity was concentrated on the line of contact. However, over the past week, the enemy has been striking at industrial facilities and crowded places. The victims were provided with all the necessary assistance, and the work to restore the damaged buildings continues.

The Russian occupiers also hit the energy infrastructure.

"After DniproHES, they hit distribution substations and power lines. However, today there are no problems with power supply in the city," said the MP.

He emphasized that due to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP (Hydroelectric Power Plant) in the Melitopol district, tens of thousands of people have problems with access to drinking water. Similar problems are expected in other districts of the region. At the same time, the occupiers are not taking any measures to overcome this crisis.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that the occupiers 536 times attacked 13 settlements of Zaporizhzhya Region.
