Republicans in Congress came up with a "Victory Plan for Ukraine": they demand more weapons

Three US House of Representatives committees led by Republicans have released a document criticizing President Biden's administration for not providing enough aid to Ukraine in the war against Russia and demanding decisive action from him.

About it reports Ukrinform.

It is reported that the suggested "Plan for Victory in Ukraine" signed by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael McCaul, the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Mike Rogers, and the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Mike Turner, was drafted late last year but became the subject of discussion in the expert community just now.

An explanation of the plan notes that it "aims to answer critical questions about U.S. and its allies' support for Ukraine and present a victory plan where we (Ukraine) wins and Russia loses."

"Russia and an alliance consisting of China, Iran and its proxies (such as Hamas and Hezbollah) and North Korea are working together to undermine American interests around the world. Their goal is to diminish the U.S. economy, break up key alliances, and establish a new world order of totalitarianism. Since World War II, the United States has not faced a more dangerous set of adversaries," the authors of the plan note.

House Republicans are also convinced that President Biden should present a trustworthy plan for victory and give Ukraine the weapons it needs to win as soon as possible.

According to the authors of the document, from the first day of the war, "Biden's hesitation to provide Ukraine with critical weapons has delayed Ukrainian victory." Ukraine needs the long-range version of ATACMS (300 km rather than 160 km), F-16 aircraft, and a sufficient amount of cluster munitions, artillery, air defense systems and armored vehicles to change the situation on the battlefield.

They point out that for victory Ukraine will need, first, the prompt supply of critical weapons; second, stricter sanctions against Putin's regime; and third, the transfer of $300 billion in frozen Russian sovereign assets to Ukraine.

It is also noted that as a percentage of GDP, the United States ranks only 30th in terms of aid to Ukraine. Poland, the Baltic States, the United Kingdom, Norway and other countries make significantly larger contributions. As for military aid, the United States ranks 14th, far behind Europe, the congressmen emphasize.
