Oxford University Press named the word of 2023: the meaning of "rizz"

Oxford University has announced its version of the word of the year - it is a slang therm "rizz", which is used to explain the attractiveness of something.

This is reported by the press service of the university.

Rizz is believed to come from the middle of the word charisma (charisma), which "indicates on the ability to attract someone with style, charm or appearance."

The word "rizz" became especially popular in 2023 after an interview with actor Tom Holland. He said: "I have no rizz at all. I have no rizz whatsoever, I have limited rizz".

During an open voting, "rizz" topped words like Swiftie (a fan of Taylor Swift), situationship (an informal romantic or sexual connection), and prompt (input into artificial intelligence platforms).
