"It needs to be done quickly": Biden gave Congress an ultimatum over Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has met with Congress leaders and urged them to promptly unblock additional aid to Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the White House.

The American President emphasized the need to provide Ukraine with all resources including air defense systems and artillery as soon as possible.

"He made it clear that prolonged inaction by Congress jeopardizes the national security of the United States, the NATO Alliance and the rest of the free world," the White House noted. In addition to Ukraine, Biden touched on the issue of the southern border, which is fundamentally important to Republicans.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Republican faction in the Senate Mitch McConnell expects to review the bipartisan agreement on the US southern borders security and funding for Ukraine next week. The head of the Democrats in the Senate Chuck Schumer said that he is "for the first time optimistic" about the agreement.

Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) are preparing for a military conflict with Russia.
