After the crash of Russian Il-76 aircraft in Russia, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR) has confirmed that a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and the Russian Federation was being prepared for today.
This was told to "Radio Liberty" by GUR representative Andriy Yusov.
"I can state that the exchange planned for today is not happening yet," - said Yusov.
He also didn't confirm or deny the information spread by Russian agencies about the presence of Ukrainian prisoners of war on board the downed plane.
"The information announced by Russian side that prisoners of war could have been in the downed Il-76 aircraft in Belgorod region is now being verified," Yusov added.
