Sweden will provide Ukraine with the largest military aid package: what the Armed Forces will receive

Ukraine will receive not only hundreds of combat drones from Canada, but also military aid from Sweden - the government of this country has promised to transfer a package worth SEK 7.1 billion ( € 630 million).

This is reported by SVT.

This is already the 15th military aid package from the Swedish government.

"At the end of the day, it is about humanity and decency. It is also about protecting values and interests that are important to Sweden and its interests," Defense Minister Paul Jonsson said at a press conference.

This support package includes:

  • 10 amphibious assault boats of the Stridsbåt 90 class;
  • 20 combat boats;
  • underwater weapons such as mines and torpedoes;
  • a number of anti-aircraft systems such as Robot 70;
  • TOW model of anti-tank robots;
  • grenade launchers with ammunition;
  • artillery shells;
  • hand grenades;
  • Carl Gustav grenade launchers;
  • medical equipment;
  • ambulances.

According to Paul Jonsson, the new aid package is specifically designed to meet Ukraine's needs. Together with the previous aid packages that Sweden has already sent to Ukraine, the total amount is just over SEK 30 billion.

Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a bilateral agreement on security cooperation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
