US considers recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism: Senator made a statement

The United States intends to initiate the recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Senator Lindsey Graham announced plans to introduce a corresponding bill at a briefing in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

The US Senator noted that the presidential election in Russia was illegal, as well as the illegal president himself, running a terrorist state. Therefore, the answer should be the adoption of the relevant bill.

"About Putin's elections - they are illegitimate. He is an illegitimate president. He's running a terrorist state, so my response to his election, when I get back to Washington, would be to introduce a bill to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism under U.S. law, because that's what it is," he reportedly said.

The US Senator also believes that the number of supporters of current Russian President Vladimir Putin, which is announced based on the results of the elections in Russia, is unlikely. He called them a falsification and Putin a war criminal.

Lindsey Graham said that sanctions are not working well, Russia's economy is too strong, so it is necessary to redouble efforts to pursue their economic assets.

"The bottom line is that recognizing Russia will make secondary sanctions more significant, so countries like India, China and others that do business with Russia will do so at their own risk," the Senator added.

Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that European Union will not recognize the results of Russian sham elections.
