Denmark will deliver F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in the summer of 2024. Some of the fighters will also be delivered to Argentina.
This was stated by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen.
"Do not worry. There will definitely be aircraft for Ukraine. Our entire F-16 fleet is now being decommissioned, because we are getting a new generation of F-35 aircraft," he said.
According to the Ambassador, some of the fighters will also be delivered to Argentina.
When asked when Ukraine would receive the F-16s, Mikkelsen quoted Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen as saying that Denmark would transfer the fighters to Ukraine this summer.
"There is nothing to worry about. F-16s will be delivered as promised," the Ambassador added.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that twelve Ukrainian pilots will be ready to fly F-16s in combat by this summer.
