Denmark announces new military aid package for Ukraine with equipment for F-16

Denmark has announced a new, 19th package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include a number of different agreements with allies on procurement from the allied defense industry. Among other things, it includes support equipment for F-16 aircraft provided by Denmark.

This was reported by the Danish Ministry of Defense.

"Ukraine still needs significant military support due to the ongoing Russian aggression against the country. With the latest aid package, we are providing as much support as possible for Ukraine's needs on the battlefield here and now. But we also have a Danish security commitment to support Ukraine for the next 10 years, so we have created a Danish model of assistance through the Ukrainian defense industry that will help increase Ukrainian military production in the short and long term," said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

A total of DKK 1.2 billion has been reserved for the last two aid packages for investment in the Ukrainian defense industry.

The Ministry reminded that there is currently a decision on DKK 45.3 billion military support for Ukraine under the Ukraine Fund in 2023-28.

Earlier, we wrote that Russia is trying to hit Ukrainian airfields before the transfer of F-16s.
