Despite the fact that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized Ukraine's EU accession talks, which are supposed to start on 25 June, he will not block the process.
This is reported by Tagesschau.
He emphasized: "Hungary does not agree with this accession process, but we are not blocking it and support the start of negotiations."
Furthermore, Orban added that the negotiations are a "purely politically motivated process," noting the need to assess further consequences:
"But first we must examine what the consequences would be if we accept a country in a state of war whose borders have not been defined in practice."
Earlier, we also wrote that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Ukraine had met all the conditions.
