Negotiations with DPR-LPR militants: leadership of Ukraine’s Armed Forces explained the scandalous order

The command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces explained why different military units received a decree to study personal opinions on negotiations with the militants of the so-called DPR and LPR.

This is reported by the press service of the operational command "North" in Facebook.

“The purpose of the indicated information was assessing potential risks for Ukrainians and Ukraine’s Armed Forces and realizing preventative measures to protect the civilians. That being said, the document lost its legal power and was canceled. It had distortions of information that was meant to be aimed at every Ukrainian citizen and wasn’t supposed to involve the military,” the message states.

The operational command “North” has initiated an official inspection on the matter. It also reminded that the command doesn’t hold any negotiations with illegal armed groups and doesn’t participate in political campaigns.

As "Apostrophe" reported earlier, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Herashchenko wrote a statement on leaving her positions as Presidential Commissioner for Peaceful Regulation of the Situation in Donbas and Ukraine’s representative in the humanitarian subgroup.
