The legislative proposals of the Verkhovna Rada regarding the mobilization of women in the army are gaining more and more negative public attention. The scandalous representative of the faction "Servants of the People" Mariana Bezuhla is also adding a lot of oil to the fire with her messages.
"Apostrophe" decided to figure out whether Ukrainian women will be mobilized and whether the President himself supports such initiatives of the Verkhovna Rada.
On her Facebook page, Mariana Bezuhla reported on the preparation of a draft law on strengthening mobilization conditions for women and noted that women who are on the military register can be called up for military service or engaged for work to support the defense of the state in wartime.
In the comments under her post such an explanation didn't find a positive response. Then the MP said that she was "surprised by this hype" about the mobilization of women. According to her, women will be sent to the front line voluntarily.
"How all to..."to the front????" The maximum - to work as an accountant, clerk in a military unit or TCC in Lviv for 20100 UAH per month, or on the manufacture of drones in Poltava, while men from these positions can be released to combat units. That is all," - wrote Bezuhla.
However, the President Volodymyr Zelensky categorically didn't support such zeal of MPs to mobilize women. And the Head of the Public Relations Service of the AFU Ground Forces Command, Volodymyr Fityo, denied the need for such mobilization, saying that there are many professions for women in the AFU, but they are mobilized only at their personal request.
