Over the past 24 hours Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 30 Russian attempts to dislodge them from their positions. Despite the pressure of the occupants, Ukrainian troops continue to maintain a presence on the eastern (left) bank of Dnipro River in Kherson Region.

The situation in Kharkiv and Luhansk regions
Russian and Ukrainian sources claim that on December 21, fighting continued in Kupyansk direction near Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka and Stelmakhivka.
Ground Forces Command Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Fityo said that on December 20 Ukrainian troops destroyed 9 Russian tanks and 19 armored vehicles in Kupiansk and Lyman directions. Geolocation footage shows that Russian troops have recently made minor gains east of Yampolivka. Positional clashes occurred west of Kreminna near Terny and south near Dibrova and Belogorivka.
Battles in Donetsk region
Geolocation footage released on December 20 shows that Russian forces were advancing along a section of railroad track east of Klishchyivka. Ukrainian and Russian forces claimed that there were battles on the northwestern and southwestern flanks of Bakhmut near Andriyivka, Kleshchiyivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, and Bogdanivka, as well as northwest of Horlivka.
Russian forces attacked northwest, east, southeast and southwest of Avdiyivka near Severne, Pervomayske, Vodiane and Nevelske and near Avdiyivka coke plant. A member of Ukrainian brigade operating in Avdiyivka direction said that there is room for maneuver near Avdiyivka. But in Zaporizhzhya direction there are only narrow demined corridors and Russian forces are continuing waves of both infantry and mechanized assaults.
Russian forces confirmed an offensive southwest of Donetsk, while positional battles continued west and southwest of the city. Geolocation footage released on December 21 shows that Russian troops advanced south of Novomykhaylivka.
"Southern Axis"
Russian bloggers claimed that Russian troops allegedly made some minor gains along the Novoprokopivka-Verbove line. Positional fighting took place south of Robotyne, west of Verbove, and near Novofedorivka and Novoprokopivka.
Ukrainian forces maintain a presence on the left bank of Dnipro River in Kherson region as of December 21, but there were no confirmed changes to the front line in this area. Ukrainian military observers and Russian "war correspondents" claimed that positional fighting continued near Krynky.
