Very important for the Kremlin's plans: the city that Russians will try to repel from the AFU is named

The Russian military and political leadership considers Kupiansk a fundamentally important town and will try to recapture it in the future.

This opinion was expressed by retired Lieutenant General, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2006-2010), Ihor Romanenko on the air of Apostrophe TV.

According to him, Kupiansk is an important transportation and logistics hub, so Russians will try to capture it again. In addition, among the regions where there is heavy fighting, Kupiansk is closer to the border. In case of capture, Russians will need less time to resupply the army with everything it needs to fight.

"At present, without Senkivka, they do not see the capture of Kupiansk and are concentrating the greatest efforts to capture Senkivka and move further, if there is such an opportunity," summarized the military.
