There is a certain slowdown of Russian activity in Avdiivka direction, but the enemy is still trying to capture the ways into the city in order to block the movement of logistics equipment.
This was told by Maksym Morozov, Major of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officer of the "Legion of Freedom" on the air of Apostrophe TV.
According to him, Avdiivka is always under sufficient pressure from the enemy, however, compared to the pre-New Year's attacks became quieter.
"It seemed that there was a political task before the New Year to capture or complete the cordon of Avdiivka, and therefore all these infantry groups ran, rushed to this goal and ended their worthless life in Donetsk soils", - said the military.
The enemy continues to use KAB, artillery and infantry, conducts reconnaissance activities, uses drones.
"They are now trying to maximally break the hard roadbed in different places to hinder the movement of logistical equipment towards Avdiivka", - summarized the officer.
