Russians in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Region are using Soviet tactics of population replacement.
This was reported by the MP of the Zaporizhzhia regional Council Askad Ashurbekov on the air of Apostroph TV.
According to information from the occupied territories, every second apartment in high-rise buildings in Tokmak, Berdyansk and Melitopol is settled by arriving Russians - Russian military or their family members.
"Currently, the occupants realized that their brainwashing methods don't work and the local population doesn't accept their ideological attitudes and doesn't want to become "Russians", so now they have moved to the tactics of population replacement. The old Soviet tactics to prevent Ukrainians from having a numerical advantage," Ashurbekov said.
According to the MP, now the occupation authorities are trying to increase the number of people from Russia, realizing that the quality of infrastructure, even despite the consequences of the war, in Zaporizhzhya Region is much better than in the regions of the Russian Federation itself.
