The Russians are counting on the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will draw their forces back to Kharkiv Region and abandon other areas. New trained forces are also currently entering the area of Ocheretyne and Chasiv Yar.
This was reported by Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Yevhen Ievlev on the air of Apostrophe TV.
"The enemy is counting on the fact that we are now pulling back our forces and weakening other areas. No one is weakening anything, to put it briefly, because we don't want to give the enemy any hints, as the situation remains difficult not only in Kharkiv Region but also in other directions," he said.
According to the serviceman, the enemy's offensive was not unexpected, and there are reserves in the Kharkiv Region to deter the Russians.
"Without going into details, I can say that newly trained forces are also entering the area of Ocheretyne and Chasiv Yar. Accordingly, there are no grounds to say or assume that we will have to withdraw some forces from the Donetsk direction and transfer them to the Kharkiv direction," Ievlev said.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that the Russians occupied three more settlements in Kharkiv Region.
