The Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, has signed an order to evacuate residents of Bilopillya and Vorozhba.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA).
"We have to protect our population. This is our main task, which was set by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This is not a forced evacuation, but an advance voluntary evacuation from those settlements where the number of attacks has significantly increased," said Volodymyr Artiukh during a staff meeting.
Residents of Bilopillya and Vorozhba, especially families with children, should contact their starostas and community leaders. The evacuated residents will be accommodated in compact housing within Sumy Region.
It should be noted that from January to April this year, 40 residents were killed and 110 wounded, including 13 children, by shelling and air strikes of the Russian occupiers in Sumy Region. Over the past week, 3 people were killed and 7 were wounded, including 3 children.
