'Don't wear dark clothes, we are saying goodbye to an angel': 4-year-old Zlata, killed by Russians, was buried in Odesa

A funeral for 4-year-old Zlata, who was injured during a missile attack on the city on April 29, was held in Odesa. Doctors fought for her life for almost a month, but the child died.

This was reported by Ukrinform.

The farewell ceremony took place in Odesa at the Transfiguration Cathedral. More than 100 people came to say goodbye to the girl. The child was buried at the Western Cemetery.

Before saying goodbye to the girl, her father posted a video on social media asking people not to wear black clothes to the funeral.

"I would like to ask you not to wear dark clothes, because we are saying goodbye to an angel, and angels are white," Zlata's father wrote.

As a reminder, on the evening of April 29, Russians launched an Iskander ballistic missile with a cluster munition warhead at Odesa. Twenty-three people were injured, including four-year-old Zlata.

The child had undergone complex heart surgery and was in a coma. However, on May 23, despite the efforts of doctors, the girl died. In total, eight people died as a result of the attack.
