The United States has destroyed the version of friendly fire on the Russian A-50U long-range radar detection aircraft, noting that it could have been hit by a missile from the Patriot air defense system.
This was stated by the Assistant Chief of Staff of the 10th AAMDC, Colonel Rosanna Clemente.
She believes that the A-50U long-range radar detection aircraft was shot down using Patriot SAMs and SAMbush tactics, i.e. air ambush. This completely destroys the version that the aircraft could have been attacked by friendly fire from Russian air defense.
Rosanna Clemente recalls that Ukrainian soldiers were specially trained for this - German instructors gave orders to move to a firing position and engage in air combat, and then retreat.
"Some of this (Patriot - Apostrophe) is being used to protect static sites.. others are being moved around and doing some really historic things," said Colonel Clemente.
