Yesterday, the Defense Forces successfully counterattacked and regained tactical positions northeast of Kharkiv, but the enemy also had successes on the front. In particular, the occupiers partially advanced in the Siversk and Toretsk directions.
This was reported by analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Kharkiv Region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattacked and regained some tactical positions northeast of Kharkiv. There was a firefight in the northeast of Vovchansk (northeast of Kharkiv), which, according to analysts, indicates that Ukrainian forces have regained limited positions along Khliboroba Street.
Also, geolocated footage indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have regained positions in the central part of Starytsia (northeast of Kharkiv and southwest of Vovchansk).
Luhansk Region
Occupiers are conducting ground attacks on the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, but there are no changes to the frontline. Russian troops attacked:
- northeast of Kupyansk near Sinkivka;
- southeast of Kupyansk near Pishchane and Stelmakhivka;
- west of Svatove near Kopanky;
- northwest of Kreminna near Hrekivka, Makiivka and Nevske;
- west of Kreminna near Torske;
- south of Kreminna near Serebryansky forest area.
Donetsk Region
Russians recently advanced in the Siversk direction amid ground attacks on June 24. The fighting continued:
- east of Siversk near Verkhnekamianske,
- northeast of Siversk near Bilohorivka,
- south of Siversk near Rozdolivka and Vyimka.
In addition, enemy continued offensive operations near Chasiv Yar on June 24, but there were no confirmed changes to the frontline.
The fighting continued:
- near Chasiv Yar in the Kanal Microraion,
- west of Chasiv Yar near Ivanivske,
- to the north near Kalynivka.
Analysts also point to Russian advance towards Toretsk. Geolocated footage shows that Russian troops have recently advanced east of Druzhba (northeast of Toretsk).
ISW reports that the General Staff said that on June 24, the enemy attacked:
- near Pivnichne (east of Toretsk),
- near Pivdenne (southeast of Toretsk)
- near Niu York (southeast of Toretsk).
Experts add that Russian troops continued to conduct ground attacks west and southwest of Donetsk on June 24, but with no changes to the frontline. Fighting also continued southwest of Donetsk near Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.
Also on June 24, fighting continued in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia region border area on June 24, but there were no confirmed changes to the frontline.
Southern Axis
According to the ISW, Russian troops continued to advance near Mala Tokmachka (northeast of Robotyne).
On June 24, positional fighting took place on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson Region near Krynky.
Earlier, Ukraine's General Staff reported on the combat situation in Novooleksandrivka village in the Pokrovsk direction of the Donetsk Region.
