On the night of December 25 Russians launched "Shaheds" and missiles on Ukraine again. Explosions were heard in a number of regions. There are hits on infrastructure objects in Odesa and Kirovohrad regions.
"Apostrophe" collected all the information, that is known about the night attack on Ukraine.
The alerts sounded at around 16:00 on Sunday, December 24. The first reports of explosions emerged around 18.40. They were heard in Mykolaiv Region, the Air Defence System was working there. After almost an hour UAVs began to be shot down in Kirovograd Region. Closer to 21:00 Air Defense Forces began to work on another group of drones in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
At around 21:30 the Air Defence Forces reported the launch of a missile towards Odesa Region, and a few minutes later local residents heard the sounds of explosions. Half an hour later ADF started working on drones in Odesa Region. Also explosions were heard near Starokonstantiniv in Khmelnitsky Region.
At around 22:30, explosions were again reported in Odesa Region, where enemy drones continued to be shot down. Also Air Defense Forces continued to work in Kirovograd Region. Closer to midnight our defenders shot down "Shaheds" in Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. And after that the air alert was canceled. Already late at night the enemy struck Kherson with artillery once again.
The debris of the downed UAV caused damage to technical buildings of the port infrastructure in Odesa. In Rozdilnyanskyi district the drone debris damaged the non-operational administrative building and warehouse of the mothballed facility. The fire was promptly eliminated. People were not injured. A fire broke out in the warehouse facilities after a hit in Berislavsky district of Kherson Region. The fire has already been extinguished.
On the night of December 25, 2023, the enemy launched an attack with two air missiles and 31 "Shahed" UAVs from the areas of Chauda, Balaklava - Crimea. As a result of the anti-air combat, the forces and assets of the Air Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed 28 "Shahed"-136/131 UAVs within the Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kirovograd and Khmelnytskyi Regions. During the air attack the enemy also used the X-59 guided aircraft missile in Zaporizhzhia direction and the X-31P anti-radar missile from the waters of the Black Sea. Both were destroyed. Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigades also destroyed two enemy aircraft: one Su-34 in Donetsk Region and one Su-30SM over the waters of the Black Sea.
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that Russian troops attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles, but all targets were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defence System.
