On Saturday, February 3, Russian Armed Forces launched an air strike on Kupyansk, dropping 500-kg FAB bombs on residential houses.
This was reported by the Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv Region, Volodymyr Tymoshko.
According to him, a huge crater appeared as a result of an enemy airstrike near residential buildings. Private houses and power lines were damaged.
"This morning the r*shists shelled Kupyansk with FABs. A huge crater was formed at the site of the hit. Power lines, a 9-story building, and at least 10 houses were damaged. Investigators, criminalists, explosion technicians worked at the scene. The physical evidence collected will be sent for expert examination," - Tymoshko said in the message.
Meanwhile, the head of the MD of the National police in the region released footage of the consequences of the air strike on Kupyansk. On the published photos you can see a huge crater formed after the arrival of Russian FAB-500 near the residential area. As of 8:20 a.m., no casualties were reported, investigators and explosion technicians are working on the spot.
The Head of Kharkiv RMA, Oleh Sinegubov, noted that Russian Armed Forces launched an air strike on Kupyansk at 6:00 a.m. on February 3. According to him, the enemy attacked the city with a FAB-500 with a universal planning and correction module.
"There was no information about casualties. 9-story apartment building, private residential buildings, power grids, other civilian non-residential infrastructure were damaged. Elimination of the consequences is underway," the Head of the RMA added.
