Russians hit Kupyansk with aerial bombs: there are casualties, people may be under the rubble

On Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 28, Russian occupants once again shelled Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region, killing and injuring people. There may be more victims under the rubble.

The Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov wrote about this.

According to him, Russians hit the center of the city with guided aerial bombs (KABs).

"A 59-year-old and a 39-year-old man were killed in the enemy shelling, and one woman was wounded. Probably, there are still people under the rubble. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. Relevant services are working at the scene," the statement said.

In particular, the café and the church were damaged, where an elderly man died - he received injuries incompatible with life. There is a fire near the church, and a residential building is on fire.

Serhiy Bolvinov, Head of the Investigation Department of Kharkiv Regional Police, said that the owner of the cafe was killed and his sister was injured. He emphasized that, according to preliminary information, the occupants used a FAB-500 against the residents of Kupyansk. As of 3 p.m., there are three wounded and two dead.

Russians also shelled Ploske village of Velykoburlutsk community. Information about the damage and casualties is being clarified.
