According to the journalists of Denník N, during the Prime Minister's address to the nation, shots were fired in front of the House of Culture, where the government meeting was taking place.
Although the reporter did not witness the incident himself, he was nearby and heard several shots. He then saw bodyguards lift the Prime Minister off the ground, put him in a car and drive away.
According to witnesses who were at the scene, Fico approached the people who were greeting him, after which several shots were fired. Fico then fell on the ground.
The condition of Slovak PM Robert Fico is very serious - he was wounded in the stomach and chest, Plusky reports.
