A 7-year-old boy explodes on a Russian mine near Kharkiv

A seven-year-old boy from Kharkiv Region was injured by a mine that detonated in his hands. The boy was hospitalized with injuries. Police established that it was a fragment of a PFM-1 petal mine.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Police on their Telegram channel.

Volodymyr Tymoshko, the Head of Kharkiv Regional Police, said that on June 18, a 7-year-old boy was injured by a mine in the country village of Rodichi, Kharkiv district. He came across an explosive object while walking. Tymoshko notes that the child picked up the object from the ground, which later detonated.

It was found that the explosive object was a fragment of a petal mine.

"The boy was taken to the hospital in a moderate condition," the Head of the Kharkiv Police noted.
