The son of Russian oligarch Dmitry Mazepin, Nikita, ex-Formula 1 driver, after being expelled from the Haas team, decided to switch from bolide to a truck, reports UNN.
"I would like to try my hand at a truck, Kamaz K5. If I receive such an offer, I will accept it," he said.
Nikita Mazepin was expelled from the Haas team after his father, Dmitry Mazepin, was sanctioned.
He was listed as a public person who did not renounce his connection with Uralkali, his father's company, which previously served as a sponsor for team Haas.
Mazepin Jr., while still taking part in Formula 1 races, almost always lost them. His father - a Russian oligarch - threatened the F1 team bosses to withdraw funding because of his son's failures.
Nikita himself did not see his fault in the failures. He blamed the team and his car for everything, constantly asking to replace it. Mazepin Sr. was dissatisfied with the results of his son, but he did not see his son's fault in this either. Dmitry Mazepin, once talking to the coach, threatened to withdraw team's funding if the situation did not change.
