Iran has supplied Russia with the latest aerial bombs to strike Ukraine. This became known due to the crash of an Iranian drone.
This is reported by Bild.
The publication, citing open data analysis expert Julian Röpke, claims that a heavy Iranian Qods Mohajer-6 drone, carrying the latest Iranian Qaem-5 guided bombs, crashed in the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that Iran put them into service in 2019. The publication suggests that the drone was supposed to attack the Sumy Region, but crashed for an unknown reason.
Previously, the Russian Armed Forces have not used high-precision Kaim-5s in Ukraine. Their use indicates a new level of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported how many KAB bombs Russians have dropped on Ukraine since the beginning of 2024.
