Russia may be responsible for fire at German arms factory

Russia may be involved in the fire at the German arms company Diehl that occurred in early May.

This is reported by Bild.

"Russia may be responsible for the fire at the German arms company Diehl in the Lichterfelde suburb of Berlin in early May. According to my information, foreign intelligence has informed German services that there is concrete evidence of Russia's involvement," the author of the article, Paul Ronzheimer, said.

At the same time, Federal Government Spokesperson, Steffen Hebestreit did not comment on the issue.

The day before, local radio reported, citing the company's management, that the fire was caused by a "technical malfunction."

Diehl denied that the Berlin plant produced weapons parts.

"The information spread by many media outlets that the Diehl Metal Applications (DMA) metallurgical plant allegedly produces weapons, including Iris-T air defense systems for Ukraine, is not true," the company said in a statement at the time.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported about an explosion at a military training area in the Czech Republic.
