Ukraine will receive the latest boats from the United States

Closer to 2022, the United States will give a batch of Mark VI boats to Ukraine, as was reported by Army Inform.

The parties are now finalizing the details of the contract for transferring the American boats to the Ukrainian Navy. The Ukrainian fleet will receive completely new boats that were built by US shipbuilding companies. They will also be accompanied by American weapons kits and hardware.

The length of patrol boats Mark VI is 25 meters. This multifunctional platform can reach a maximum speed of more than 35 knots.

They can accommodate a crew of 10 people and up to 8 passengers. The boats are equipped with minimal comfort requirements for the crew during long operations: onboard there is a galley (crew kitchen), beds and showers.

In addition, the Mark VI is equipped with the ability to remotely control an unmanned surface vehicle "unmanned surface vehicle (USV)" to detect underwater mines.

As Apostrophe reported, on September 27, the United States handed over two Island-type boats to Ukraine.
